live, love, laugh

July 31, 2011

If I had to pick one word to sum up July it would have to be laughter.

Reflecting on the month gone by and especially on the past week the things that stand out the most is spending time laughing, talking and catching up with friends.

Wonderful days have been filled with walks, mojitos, tree shopping, cameras, dancing, tequila, lovely meals, champagne, amazing views and sunshine.

It’s hard to fit a year’s catching up into 14 days but we managed well, laughing all the way.

Unfortunately, it goes by way too fast and before you know it you’re back where you began longing for the next 14 days, 365 days away.

As with everything in life though, effort is the key. Effort to keep in touch and effort to find ways to meet up when the opportunity arises.

The memories of the laughter and love shared will act as fuel until the next time our paths cross.

I can’t help but be filled with gratitude at this moment for having been blessed with such lovely friends and the time to enjoy their company fully…and of course gratitude for all the laughter shared.

C and M, you rock and these last couple of weeks have been a great reminder of all that is beautiful and amazing in this life. Thank you!

i used to wait for a sign, she said, before i did anything. then one night i had a dream & an angel in black tights came to me & said, you can start any time now, & then i asked is this a sign? & the angel started laughing & i woke up. now, i think the whole world is filled with signs, but if there’s no laughter, i know they’re not for me.” – story people

As mentioned here, I’ll be participating in Susannah Conway’s August break and only posting pictures and very few words, if any for the month.

For the first time since coming to Greece years ago, I won’t have to work 15 hour days in August and I plan on taking full advantage of it by technologically tuning out and reconnecting with myself, nature and enjoying the simple moments.

I wish you all an incredibly magical and beautiful August filled with laughter and all that you love.
